It says in James 5, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” For me, that’s who and what we are here at Simmering. From the newcomer to the directors, we are a bunch of addicts and alcoholics working towards a common goal, trying to heal each other and trying to spread hope and love to anyone who might need some. We are not going to meet you at the door with a Bible and try and beat Jesus into you; but we try to be the example of what God has done in our lives.
I would like to give my thanks to Simmering Center. I have struggled with addiction for 15 years. I never truly surrendered to my recovery. I finally gave it up and surrendered my pride. The staff at the Center are some of the most caring, helpful people I have ever met. After a year at the Center, I found my career and found my faith. I have gone from long-term prison sentences to long-term sobriety. I give thanks to my “family at Simmering Center.
